Kelpe: Ex-Aquarium

I can’t get over how fresh this new Kelpe joint is. It’s refreshing to see how live instrumentation is making it’s way back into all sub-genres of electronic music - from Dosh, Chris Clark (sorry, Clark),Tycho, on and on. A lot of my favorite artists are combining the blips and beeps with live drums, percussion, guitar and field recordings using more live-oriented production techniques. Now if they’d take live bands on tour with them instead of laptops : )
Anyways, go cop this LP on my favorite digital music store, Bleep.

A brilliant photographer from Idaho. Link was shared by a friend who did the backend for the site, via good food productions in Chicago. I love finding out about new design studios in my city because for as small as I like to think Chiicago is… there are way more interesting things going on here to keep track of than there used to be.
